The Victoria Independent School District (VISD) proudly recognizes the second cohort of the VISD Insider Academy, a group of engaged community members who have completed the immersive program designed to provide an in-depth look at the district’s operations, initiatives, and impact.
The VISD Insider Academy is a unique initiative that allows participants to gain firsthand experience and insights into the inner workings of the district. Over the course of several months, members took part in interactive sessions covering key topics such as curriculum and instruction, student services, school safety, district finances, and more. Through campus visits, discussions with district leadership, and hands-on learning opportunities, the participants deepened their understanding of how VISD serves its students and families.
“The Insider Academy is an invaluable program that bridges the gap between our schools and the community,” said Executive Director of Communications and Public Relations Ashley Alvarez. “This cohort’s dedication to learning about our district and advocating for public education strengthens our partnership with families, businesses, and community leaders.”
This year’s cohort included a diverse group of parents, business owners, community leaders, and stakeholders, all committed to making a positive impact on public education in Victoria. Their participation and feedback play a vital role in fostering transparency and engagement within the district.
As the second class of the VISD Insider Academy graduates, the district looks forward to continuing this initiative, welcoming future cohorts, and strengthening connections with the community.
