As the Superintendent of Schools in Victoria ISD, I strongly believe it is our collective responsibility to create the culture and conditions where all students acquire the mindset and skill set necessary to achieve and perform at the highest levels, ensuring they are post-secondary ready and globally competitive. 

With accountability as the precursor to results and leading by example as an expectation for this role, below are the core values and belief statements that drive my work:

Vision, traditions, and high expectations are strongholds within Victoria ISD’s system, and maintaining premier status requires a proven skill set, mindset, and specific leadership actions that will continue to elevate this amazing organization to high standards of excellence. Victoria ISD’s mission statement mirrors my core values – “to provide rigorous, relevant learning and life experiences so that all students contribute positively to society.” In this case, all means all. Our priority is to ensure every child is college, career, military, and citizenship ready. I wholeheartedly immerse myself for the long term as a fabric of the community to celebrate successes and co-create sustainable change with Victoria ISD’s teams and broader stakeholders.  Excellence begins with me, and I commit to lead VISD with the highest standard of excellence, because every student matters.
