Our STEM Middle School robotics teams recently put their skills to the test in a competitive tournament that featured 17 teams, showcasing their remarkable skills, and wowing the competition with their creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork.

The Sassy Sisters, our trailblazing all-girls robotics team, made a powerful statement by securing  an impressive 6th place finish! Their dedication and ingenuity were on full display, proving that they are a force to be reckoned with in the world of robotics.

Right on their heels, the Vipers demonstrated their own technical skills and determination by earning 7th place in the tournament. Their performance reflected resilience, collaboration, and a drive to excel in this challenging competition.   Sassy Sisters

We are thrilled to celebrate Evangelene Monroe, a standout sixth-grade student, who has earned a seat to compete with the community robotics team, going head-to-head with high school competitors. This experience will sharpen her skills and provide her with the invaluable experience to further hone her skills while proudly representing STEM Middle School at a higher competition level.

“Our STEM Middle School robotics teams continue to impress with their innovation, perseverance, and teamwork,” said STEM Middle School teacher and Robotics coach Tammie Tipton. “The Sassy Sisters and the Vipers showcased incredible talent at the tournament, proving that hard work and dedication lead to success.”

The Sassy Sisters and the Vipers are paving the way for future innovators, proving that talent, perseverance, and teamwork lead to excellence in VISD.

Congratulations to the Sassy Sisters, the Vipers, and Evangelene Monroe on their commendable performances and achievements! We are VISD Proud of our students and look forward to what the future holds for our robotics teams. Together, they are laying a strong foundation for future achievements in the world of robotics!
