Victoria ISD is excited to announce the launch of District Digest, a new quarterly print newsletter designed to bring essential district updates straight to families. In today’s digital world, the district is taking it back to the basics to ensure that all parents and guardians receive key information in the most direct way possible—right through their child’s backpack.
The first edition of District Digest will be sent home with students this week, just before Spring Break. To ensure families don’t miss out, parents and guardians will receive a text alert the evening the newsletter goes home as a reminder to check their child’s backpack or ask them for their copy.
This quarterly newsletter will serve as a valuable resource to increase parent and family engagement by sharing important district updates, highlighting key events, and providing need-to-know information.
What's Inside the Spring 2025 Edition?
The Spring 2025 edition of District Digest features a variety of important updates and resources for parents and guardians. The newsletter includes an overview of VISD’s Five Strategic Priorities, helping families better understand the district’s goals and direction. The VISD Spotlight section highlights major initiatives happening right now, including course selection, new Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, and more.
Additionally, the “Did You Know?” section shares important facts about VISD, addressing common questions and celebrating the great things happening in our schools. Lastly, the back page outlines all the ways families can stay informed and engaged, ensuring they have access to the latest district updates through multiple communication channels.
