We will have games, free hamburgers & hotdogs, a dunk tank, water slide and so much more. All Clubs, Sports or other campus organizations are welcome to have a table set up to showcase their handwork this school year. Let's rally together to create a great moment for our school community.

West's winning Powderpuff team is gearing up to face East! The game will take place on May 12th in Memorial Stadium at 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $2 and can be purchased in room A130 between May 8th and May 12th.
On Monday, May 8, 2023, Victoria West High School will be implementing new traffic patterns for parents/guardians, student drivers, and bus transportation on campus to alleviate traffic congestion during drop-off times for the remainder of the school year. These changes are the result of a comprehensive study and analysis of traffic flow on our campus, and we believe they will improve safety, efficiency, and convenience for all our stakeholders.

On April 15, five of our Shield yearbook staff members traveled to Austin and represented Victoria West at the ILPC Spring Conference on the UT Austin campus. These students gave up their Saturday and were on campus by 5:30 AM in order to attend ILPC, where they received on-site training from journalism and publication industry professionals including Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist John Moore. They brought home many valuable tips and tricks about writing, reporting, photography, marketing, and page design to share with their fellow staff members. Thank you for your hard work, girls!
