Ms. Debra Doherty
My name is Ms. Doherty pronounced as door tea. This will be my 14th year teaching high school mathematics. From 2011 - 2014 I was employed by Waelder Independent School District. Waelder ISD is a 1A school which meant I was the only high school math teacher. This experience has given me a unique perspective of how each level of mathematics integrates with the next. Prior to working at Waelder High School I was employed by Victoria Independent School District (VISD) as a substitute teacher. In addition to these experiences, I have been employed by UHV as a writing tutor and by Victoria College as a general subject tutor, a peer mentoring tutor for math, an English reading tutor and a teaching assistant for the math departments. I have a M. Ed in Curriculum and Instruction, and B.A. Mathematical Sciences both from UHV, and an A.S. from VC.

Tuesdays, and Thursdays
2:55 PM- 3:30 PM

Welcome
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. This is going to be a learning experience for all of us as it is the first year we have Chromebooks.
A reminder attendance will be taken each class period and the 90% rule of attending classes is mandatory to earn credit. If you want to be exempt from semester exams you must have fewer than 3 unexcused absences. (3 tardies is considered 1 absence.)
